Sing for Life!

Christopher Williams back in Upstate NY

The last time Christopher Williams was at Bethlehem Community Church in Delmar, NY, there were leaves on the trees and it wasn't too cold out. Matter of fact, it was in April of 2006, opening for Jars of Clay at the same location.

Like he said during the 2007 show, after playing around on the guitar to a few bars of "Let it Snow," things were green. The weather did play a big part in the low turnout. I saw a few accidents on the Thruway on the way out from Schenectady. Saw another on the way home too. There was even a friendly "the Show is still ON!" e-mail that was sent because it seemed like it was just too bad to drive. It was definately worth the trip.

Singing songs from his CDs, telling stories and playing some new music not released yet, CDUB, yeah, I called him that, played without microphones or amps. As one guy said as we left, it was very nice how he was right there a few feet away, among us, entertaining us, sharing with us.

I had to ask him what the CDUB meant. Easy. C for Christopher, and DUB was short for W. So if you ever get an e-mail from CDUB, you know who it is. You can get e-mails by going to his Web site and subscribing. Believe me, you won't get spammed every day. In the past year, I probably got about 5 e-mails, with concert schedule info, etc. His site is: www.christopherw.com

On the site, you'll find alot of stuff, including information about blood:water mission.

Christopher Williams and Muriel. (My roadie)   : )

I hope to see CDUB again, and if you get the opportunity, I strongly encourage you to go, and bring lots of friends!

Mike
